Here You Will Find...A Simple Place For Everything and Everything In It's Place

Rackin' It Up

Someone on the SU connection asked about storing
Sizzix big shot dies. I thought of my trusty DVD rack that I bought from a second hand store for $5.00 . You will see that in my old colourful cluttered Scrap Office this rack sat on the desk filled with ribbon and flowers. Then, like the Jeffersons it was 'moved on up' to the second floor new Scrap Room onto the back of the door. I used an over the door holder and hooked it on, wallah! New use, old dvd holder. I suggested that you could store all sizzix on this type of dvd rack. It can go on the floor, back of the door, on a table or desk. The possibilities are up to you. If you can't find a wire one, look for other types that would work. The store Solutions, I think it's called The Container Store in the U.S. has the most options for storing anything. It is my FAVOURITE store on the planet! Around Christmas I saw a beautiful black lacquer with glass door dvd shelf unit. It was small and caught my eye but I had no place to put it, sniff, sniff, I think I shed a tear that day I had to leave it in the store. Keep it simple...Marie

Beginning With The End...

Here are some pics of the fruits of my labour. It has taken literally 5 years to get to this point. I began with two stampin up stamp sets. The rest shall we say is CRAZY! I have become a fanatic (don't like the word obsessed much-everybody is using it) about scrapbooking and cardmaking. Along the way I found my passion is still organizing. Since I was knee high to a grasshopper I have organized everything I could get my hands on. I have become quite good at it and absolutely love it! Unlike my other blog Time 2 Simplify. This one won't be quite as 'organized'. I will have a hodge podge of pics, ideas and quotes to help you 'get it together' in a fun way. That way maybe you can truly enjoy your hobby more when you make cards, scrapbook or craft. Instead of spending all your time searching out and sorting out supplies before you begin anything. So, we will start at the end and get back to the beginning. If there is anything in particular you want ideas for organizing, please send me a message or leave a comment and I will do my best to pull it together and post it for you. Until then...keep it simple! Marie

SIMPLIFYING YOUR SCRAPBOOK STASH

The first step to organizing your supplies is to SIMPLIFY...you do this by removing the packaging from the majority of your supplies. This will allow you to choose a uniform container for each item you are organizing. You will be able to store more of the same type of item this way. If you buy in bulk you will find this is the easiest way to keep your supplies in order and easy to find when you need them... Keep it Simple.
